Dr. Ahmed Belhadi is a lecturer/researcher at the Depatment of Mineral and Petroleum
Deposits, Faculty of Hydrocarbons and Chemistry, University of Boumerdes. He obtained his Doctorate Degree in 2001 from Kyushu University, Japan in the specialty of Ore Deposit Geology. He worked at the same university as a Visiting Researcher for two years and as a chief geologist at Landmark Minerals, Vancouver, Canada, where he was in charge of elaborating and implementing an exploration program for Uranium in southern Algeria. Dr. Belhadi’s current research interests are focused mainly on understanding the metallogenesis of some ore deposit prospects in Algeria, particularly of gold deposits related to hydrothermal activity in volcanic terrains in northern Algeria and Rare Earth Elements in the Hoggar shield, southern Algeria, with the aim of producing new insights on the genetic models of these deposits and therefore, better target their exploration.
