Reservoir characterization involves integrating data from several disciplines - geophysics, logging, geology, drilling, production - to describe the reservoir qualitatively and quantitatively. It is particularly important for so-called "Brownfields" reservoirs, i.e. those whose peak production has been exceeded. It enables us to build a static and dynamic model of the reservoir. The LABOPHYT laboratory offers research topics on reservoir characterization directly linked to industry.
