Potential methods is a term used to describe all geophysical methods that measure vector fields derived from a potential. Potential methods include gravimetric, magnetic, electromagnetic, telluric, magnetotelluric and electrical methods.  These methods are used in mining and oil exploration. Several PhD students at LABOPHYT are working on topics related to potential methods.
